Inaugural Function
Dr. V. Vandhana Devi welcomed the Dean (Academics) and all the participants. She emphasised on the need for presentation skills for faculty members and briefed about the Workshop schedule. Dr. Vandhana thanked the participants for showing their interest in participating in the workshop by delivering the vote of thanks.
Dr. K. Sarukesi appreciated the department for organizing the workshop and suggested tips and techniques for improving presentation skill and public speaking. Mr. R. Deepak introduced the resource person of the session Dr. V. Vandhana Devi to the gathering.

Dr. V. Vandhana Devi explained the audience about the need of presentation skills for the teaching faculty members that would be helpful in various aspects of during the course of their career.
- Faculty handling theory subjects would make their lectures more interesting by presenting the theory content as pictures and videos. The students would be difficult to imagine theory content if taught on black board and lectures don’t help them at all.
- Faculty guiding students in projects such as Final Year Projects, Student Project competition, Students Presentation competition, Seminars, Paper Presentations must mentor the students and guide them in improving their communication and presentation skills.
- Faculties undergoing research and publication activities and pursuing their Ph.D. need to improve in the aspects of confidence, do’s and don’ts of gestures, ways of interacting and answering the committee members.
