About the Club

Civil Service Aspirants club is one among the 20 KCG clubs that help students to prepare for the Civil service Exam along with their Engineering program. Two hours of club activity is allocated every alternate week in which students are trained on prerequisites of the UPSC exam and provided with an opportunity to listen to the success stories of Civil Services Officers.

A few distinguished alumni have cracked the Civil service exam with top rank and to mention a few, Mr. Backia Gowtham secured All India Rank 178 in the UPSC Exam 2020 for the post of Assistant Commandant (AC) in Central Armed Police Force(CAPFs), Mr. V.P.Jageeshwaran, Deputy Collector of Cuddalore is a Tamilnadu Topper, Rank 6 in 2017, he also cleared UPSC during 2017 as IFS (Indian Forest Service Officer). In their success path, we are looking forward to facilitating our young aspirants and making them achieve their goals at the earliest.

About the Civil Service Foundation Course

The Civil Service Foundation Course to be kick-started aims to provide the aspirants regular coaching by experienced faculty members, supply required study materials, support by conducting mock tests and performance analysis and mentoring support from successful Civil service officers. This Course through a fully guided approach aims to help the aspirants prepare in the right direction consistently and take up the exam confidently along with their final year engineering exams.

Skill India – civil services aspirants club activities at KCG College of Technology

Dr. J.Radhakrishnan I.A.S., Principal Secretary to Government, Health & Family Welfare Dept, Govt of Tamilnadu addressed the members of Civil Service Aspirants Club of KCG College of Technology in the 9th Topper’s TalkSeries on 4th January 2022 at 2.30 pm.

Topper’s Talk Series

Topper’s Talk is a series of talks arranged by the club in which Civil Service officers from different services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS guide and motivate the aspiring students. He inaugurated the Civil Service Foundation Course offered by the Civil Service Aspirants Club of the college and highlighted that number of takers of the UPSC Civil Service Exam has been on rising and the aspiring test takers have to battle with the unknown competitors from different parts of the country. “Be committed, confident, vibrant and consistent in your preparation as these are the key traits required of a Civil Service aspirant” he said.“Offering a foundation course to crack civil service examination is an excellent initiative by the club and the institution”, he added. He also explained the right way to approach the UPSC exam, shared his success strategies and experience as a Civil service officer. He interacted with the students and answered their questions clearly and patiently. The principal, Dr. P Deivasundari welcomed the gathering and introduced the objectives of Topper’s Talk Series. Ms. B Rammyaa, Assistant Professor of ECE and Coordinator, KCG Civil Service Aspirants Club presented the overview of the foundation course and delivered the vote of thanks.

On 25th January 2022 Dr. K Vijayakarthikeyan IAS, Secretary, Human Rights Commission, Government of Tamil Nadu inspired our students with his Success Strategies for IAS Aspirants to have goals set and move towards goals with confidence and untiring efforts.

Every month this club activity is conducted and more than 1000 students get inspired out of these sessions.
