|Inauguration of International Affairs|
KCG College of Technology has a clear and a far sighted vision that they have understood the need for International Affairs for Students in their campus. This institution is very keen to give exposure to the students and faculty members to International Universities. Practically no Engineering College worth its name in Tamilnadu has an exclusive Office for looking after International Affairs in their campus. It is indeed like an Oasis in a desert.
The activities of International Affairs got started in May 2017. Various activities were carried out since then, though the International Affairs was formally inaugurated by Dr. Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson, Hindustan Group of Institutions, on 4th Oct 2017. While delivering the Presidential address, Chairperson of Hindustan Group of Institutions stressed the need of instilling confidence in students and in motivating them to approach Foreign Universities for higher education as well as for taking up Internship and Project activities from Universities abroad.
Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Director and CEO, in his address stressed the need to collaborate with leading Universities across the globe in the area of research and highlighted the importance of faculty members and student exchange programs.
Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese listed the various initiatives taken by the Institution to sign Memorandum of Understanding with globally well known Universities and in arranging visits by International Professors for interacting with the faculty and the students.
The Former Head of International Affairs, Dr. V. Subbaroyan listed out the various International Programs arranged till then and reported that many more International Tours for the students and International Guest Lectures are on the anvil. The activities of the International Affairs are supplemented by the Higher Education Cell of our College headed by Dr. Albert P’ Rayan.
