KCG Connect, the alumni meet was conducted on 28th May 2016 in Mirza Seminar Theatre from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm. The meet started traditionally with the prayer song.
The KCG Connect programme was conducted in the presence of The Principal, Deans, HODs, faculty and alumni members of KCG College of Technology. The Dean (Academics) Dr. K. Ramanathan, delivered the welcome address. In his address, he highlighted the importance of the connect of the alumni and their contribution to the institution.
The Principal, Dr. T. Rengaraja, delivered the presidential address. In his address, he presented the vision and mission of the institute and gave a detailed insight on the vision and mission. He happily mentioned that KCG College of Technology is practicing global education system to equip our students to meet the needs of the global industry. He also insisted that the involvement of the alumni plays a vital role as a stakeholder in the attainment of the vision of the institution.He requested the alumni to extend their hands to support the institution in building more interaction with the industry.
The Executive Member of KCG Connect Alumni Association, Mr. Russel Nickson, 2012 batch addressed the alumni members. He presented a report on the activities of KCG Connect. The Election of the office bearers was conducted and the list is attached below. He emphasized the importance of the office bearers and their roles. He also informed the alumni that there will be an annual alumni meet conducted on August 15th . In response, few of the alumni shared their experience as well as their interesting moments of their campus life to the audience. They had a chance to interact with their friends and faculty members.
The Vice- Principal, Dr. Sumathi Poobal, gave the felicitation address. She highlighted the need to give back to the alma mater to improve the academic matters and employment opportunities.
The meet ended with a promise to meet again as they bid an emotional farewell to each other. Finally, a new body was elected and constituted to carry forward the work of KCG Connect.
