E-QUIZ on “MATHEMATICAL APPLICATIONS”
Rules & Regulations:
- E-Quiz is open and free to all Students.
- Submit Online Registration through Google form link given below.
- Enter your details correctly for providing E-Certificate.
- This quiz carries 20 multiple choice questions in mathematics, each carries 5 marks and a maximum of 30 minutes will be given.
- E-Certificate will be given to students who score above 60 percentage.

Flash Fiction:
- Entries must be in English
- Entries must contain the phrase somewhere in the story “I am not the hero everyone thinks I am” or“Howling wind”
- Entries should be less than 1000 words and more than 300 words
- Entries should be the original work of the entrant
- The entry should be submitted as a word document using Times New Roman 12 font, 1.5 spacing
- The file name of your entry should be the same as your title
- Please write your name and contact details below your story.

Slam Poetry
- Poem must be in English
- Poem must be the original work of the participant on the theme “Mask”
- Time limit of 3 minutes for the poem with a grace period of 10 seconds is allowed.
- Use of props or music to enhance the performance is not allowed.
- Use of vulgar and discriminatory language will lead to disqualification.
- The judges’ decision is final.
Debate: Virtual classrooms and online teaching are feasible long-term options
- Each team should consist-of two members
- There will two rounds of Debate. The team should be prepared for both AGAINST and FOR the topic.
- Speakers will be marked individually and their points added to decide the winning team
- The judge’s decision is final
- No vulgar words or actions will be accepted. No personal attack. If used will end in immediate elimination.
- Blog Contest (External participants)
- The blog article must be in English
- The broad theme of the blog article is “Life under Covid 19”. The participants are free to have appropriate title related to the theme of the blog.
- The blog article should have minimum 300 words.
- Photographs and videos can be used to illustrate the blog article.
- The blog link should be sent to deanstudents@kcgcollege.com
Blog Contest (for KCGians)
- The blog article must be in English
- The broad theme of the blog article is “Great Memories at KCG”. The participants are free to have appropriate title related to the theme of the blog.
- The blog article should have minimum 300 words.
- Photographs and videos can be used to illustrate the blog article.
- The blog should be set as ‘public’ and the link should be sent to deanstudents@kcgcollege.com
- Six blogs will be shortlisted.
- The authors of the shortlisted blogs have to promote their blog by inviting readers from their family, relatives and friends outside the organization. Multiple social media platforms can be used to promote the blog.
- The contestants must encourage the readers to review and comment on their post. Two weeks will be provided for that.
- The three winners will be will be determined by social media coordinators of the college based on the number of followers and the quality of reviews.

Theme “Engineering in Post COVID-19 World”
- Last date for Registration is 15 July
- Maximum four members in a team (including team leader).
- Each Team needs to submit the following in PPT format

- Problem Definition
- Solution to the Problem (with necessary diagrams and explanation)
- Uniqueness in Proposed Innovation
- Feasibility of Implementation
- Market Demands
- Economic Sustainability
- Environmental Sustainability

- Event Finals on 1 August

Solo dance
- Duration of performance should be 1 minute
- The dancer can perform to just one song or a medley of songs on any theme
- All dance styles/forms permitted.
- The performance should be freshly recorded for the competition.
- Use of music with foul/slang language is not allowed.
- Any form of vulgarity in movements etc will lead to disqualification.
- Video submission last date 5th August
- Judges’ decisions will be final
Theme: Life under lockdown
- The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
- All entries must be mailed to susanjacob@kcgcollege.com
- Violators of the first rule will be banned from entering any future contest
- The decision of the Jury is final
- Winners will be notified through the email address provided in the registration form
- Topics: Fun with Family during COVID 19 or Youth Mental Health during COVID 19
- of participants: 3 – 8 members
(NOTE: If you are not able to get your classmates or college mates for acting in the film as we are under COVID restrictions, you can have your siblings / neighbours to act in the film. But you cannot show them as a part of your team)
- Duration of the short film: 3 – 6 minutes
- Language: English should be the main language. Regional languages may also be used, but within limits so that everyone can understand.
(NOTE: Vulgarity in language or actions, blaming any particular individual / institution / organization, or political parties or the Government is not allowed. If found, the film will be rejected)
- After recording the film, it may be sent to counsellor@kcgcollege.com and copied to deanstudents@kcgcollege.com
- The Jury Committee decision will be the final.

- Participant should send the front and back pictures of model wearing the respective garment and 1 minute video of the catwalk with proper audio and video through mail
- Participant will be designer and model too
- Total time duration of the ramp will be 1 minute
- Design should be based on the theme
- Selection process
Preliminary level -based on mailed photos and video
Finals -based on the virtual screening of the catwalk videos and Q&A session with Judges
- Submission will be through the mail
- All the participants will be given e-certificates
