About the Department
The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering is a Multi disciplinary field, primarily focusing on the principles and operations of measuring instruments used in the design and configuration of automated systems. Instrumentation technology helps create, construct and maintain measuring and control devices and systems found in manufacturing plants and research institutions. Public-sector companies such as Instrumentation Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd. and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. provide job opportunities.
Instrumentation Engineering is the basis of Mechatronics and Robotics engineering. Its main objective is to ensure that systems and processes operate safely and efficiently.
Among the progression and extensive applications of Electronics and Computer in Instrumentation and Control, the curriculum is framed to incorporate core courses of Electronics, Instrumentation and control as well as Computer Engineering is also taken into consideration.
We have signed MoU with YOKOGAWA India Pvt. Ltd. Chennai and Trend Automation Pvt Ltd for effective Industry Institute interaction. Students are encouraged to participate in seminars, symposiums and extracurricular activities like paper presentation, In-Plant training and cultural activities in-house as well as in other institutions.
