Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is one of the largest Science, Engineering and Technology Institutions in the world. It has the vision of sharing and advancing knowledge throughout the global science, engineering and technology community to enhance people’s lives around the world.
IETKCTECH, Student Chapter of IET at KCG College of Technology was inaugurated on 04.03.2011 by Dr.D.N.Ramachandran, Vice Chairman, IET-Chennai Network. The activities of IETKCTECH are being supported and monitored by the IET Younger Professional Section, Chennai. IETKCTECH is playing a vital role in uplifting the technical skills of student members and faculty members by conducting various Workshops, Technical Lectures and International Conferences. It also provides a platform for the student members to expose their talents by participating in various technical competitions like Smart City Challenge, Young Mind Challenge, PATW and Project Challenge.

KCG College of Technology, Chennai, has received the Academic Affiliate Certificate awarded by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), United Kingdom at a function held on 11th October, 2012. This will enable the Institution to maintain the most up to date knowledge and skills in the dedicated sector, and access to an international network of like-minded people.
