Explore KCG Tech’s Advanced Laboratories: Where Innovation Gets Hands-On

In today’s fast-changing world of technology, engineering education is about much more than classroom learning. Students need opportunities to experiment, innovate, and gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies. At KCG College of Technology, practical learning is an integral part of academic excellence, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories that prepare students for the demands of Industry 4.0.

From Artificial Intelligence and Robotics to Product Innovation and Industrial Automation, KCG Tech offers world-class laboratory facilities that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. The recent launch of the AICTE IDEA Lab further strengthens the institution’s commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and research-driven learning.

AICTE IDEA Lab: Turning Ideas into Innovation

The newly established AICTE IDEA (Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship & Application) Lab is a multidisciplinary innovation hub where students transform ideas into working prototypes.

Equipped with 3D printers, CNC and laser cutting machines, IoT workstations, PCB prototyping facilities, and startup workspaces, the lab empowers students to design, build, and test innovative solutions. Whether participating in hackathons, research projects, or startup initiatives, students gain the tools to convert creative ideas into real-world technologies.

FANUC Robotics & Automation Lab: Experience Industry 4.0

Developed in collaboration with FANUC India, the FANUC Robotics & Automation Lab provides hands-on exposure to industrial automation and robotics.

Students work with industrial robotic arms, collaborative robots (cobots), PLC programming systems, smart sensors, and Robot Operating System (ROS) platforms, developing industry-ready skills in robotics, automation, and smart manufacturing. The lab equips graduates for careers in automotive, manufacturing, and industrial automation sectors.

John McCarthy Intelligence Lab: Driving AI & Data Science

Named after the father of Artificial Intelligence, the John McCarthy Intelligence Lab enables students to explore emerging technologies shaping the future.

The lab focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Full-Stack Development, and IoT. Through project-based learning, students build intelligent applications, analyze real-world data, and develop innovative software solutions using industry-standard tools.

Computer Science & Research Laboratories

KCG Tech’s Computer Science department features modern programming and research laboratories named after pioneers such as Charles Babbage, Ada Lovelace, Alan Turing, Bill Gates, and N.R. Narayana Murthy.

These facilities support learning in software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, mobile application development, and database management, encouraging students to build scalable applications and strengthen their programming expertise.

Mechatronics & Industrial Automation Laboratories

To meet the growing demand for smart manufacturing, KCG Tech offers advanced Mechatronics laboratories equipped with modern automation technologies.

Students gain practical experience in robotics, industrial control systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, embedded systems, and automation through specialized facilities, including the George Charles Devol Robotics & Control Lab, Thomas Alva Edison Industrial Automation Lab, Robert E. Newman Sensors & Instrumentation Lab, and Blaise Pascal Fluid Power Lab.

Building Future-Ready Engineers

At KCG College of Technology, laboratories are more than learning spaces- they are innovation centres where students explore, experiment, and create.

By combining advanced infrastructure with experiential learning, KCG Tech empowers students to become innovators, problem-solvers, and future technology leaders. Whether developing AI-powered solutions, programming industrial robots, or designing next-generation products, students gain the confidence and practical skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving global workforce.
