About the
Department

The Department of Master of Computer Applications offers a postgraduate program designed to meet the growing demand for skilled IT professionals with a strong foundation in computer science, software development, and emerging technologies. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members and provides excellent infrastructure facilities, including state-of-the-art computer laboratories, smart classrooms, and high-speed internet connectivity.

In addition to Teaching and Instruction, the faculty are actively involved in research and development activities aimed at exploring innovative technologies and providing practical solutions to real-world computing problems. The department also undertakes consultancy projects and organizes Conferences, Workshops, and Seminars to promote professional interaction and continuous learning.

Experts from the IT industry are regularly invited to deliver guest lectures and interact with students and faculty. Students gain valuable practical exposure through internships, industry visits, and hands-on training on live projects. Leading software companies and IT firms visit the campus to recruit MCA graduates. The department strives to enhance the employability of students by providing additional training and placement support to help them secure positions in top IT and core software companies.

Engineering knowledge

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization for the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO 2:

Problem analysis

Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO 3:

Design/development of solutions

Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet t h e specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO 4:

Conduct investigations of complex problems

Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Engineering Tool Usage

Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems.

Use compiler tool, CASE tool, graphic tool, app development tools, network simulator, security and analysis tools, cloud and grid tool kits, database management tools, web development frameworks for providing appropriate solutions.
