WRIGHT BROTHERS AERODYNAMIC LABORATORY

This laboratory provides comprehensive and hands-on experience in understanding airflow, flight dynamics, and aircraft performance. 

VIKRAM SARABHAI PROPULSION LABORATORY

This facility helps budding engineers gain critical insights into propulsion systems, aero engine performance, and airframe dynamics. It equips students with the skills to analyze and optimize propulsion technologies while enhancing their proficiency in aero engine maintenance and airframe repair techniques.

PROF. NIKOLAI E. JOUKOWSKI STRUCTURES LABORATORY

This lab helps students study and analyze the strength, durability, and load-bearing capacities of aircraft materials and components. Through testing of airframes, fuselage, and wing structures, students gain practical knowledge of structural integrity and failure mechanisms. This understanding is essential for designing safer, more efficient aircraft and aerospace vehicles.

TATA FLIGHT INTEGRATION AND AIRCRAFT SIMULATION LAB

This specialist facility enables students to simulate real-world flight conditions and integrate various aircraft systems. They understand the roles of avionics, control systems, and flight dynamics, allowing for in-depth analysis of system interactions. It equips future engineers with the skills to optimize aircraft performance and safety through advanced simulation tools.

LEONARDO DA VINCI CAD LAB

The Da Vinci lab gives students the tools to design complex aircraft components with precision. It enables them to create 3D models of airframes, propulsion systems, and control surfaces, streamlining the design and analysis process.

KCG Satellite Centre

The Satellite Center within the Department focuses on the development and testing of satellite subsystems such as payloads, communication systems, and propulsion mechanisms. It offers comprehensive facilities for satellite integration, simulation, and launch preparation, enabling students and researchers to understand real-world conditions and challenges.

Supersonic Jet Facility

The Supersonic Jet Facility in the aerospace lab is essential for studying high-speed aerodynamic phenomena and conducting wind tunnel tests at supersonic speeds. This facility enables precise analysis of jet performance, shockwave interactions, and aerodynamic behavior critical for designing advanced aircraft and spacecraft.
