Principal’s Message

Welcome to KCG College of Technology! As the Principal, I am pleased to extend warm greetings to all who have taken the time to explore our digital presence. We take pride in being an autonomous institution recognized by the UGC, affiliated with Anna University, and approved by the AICTE. We are accredited by NAAC with an A+ Grade and listed in the 201-250 band by NIRF under the innovation category. We offer a total of 14 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programs, blending both conventional and non-conventional engineering disciplines. With permanent affiliation from Anna University for six undergraduate programs and accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for five undergraduate programs, the college upholds the highest standards of academic excellence. At KCG College of Technology, we strive to create an environment where individuals can flourish and reach their full potential. Our commitment to academic excellence and holistic approach to education prepares our students to become well-rounded global citizens and future leaders. Our curriculum is aligned with industrial requirements, offering theory and practical integrated courses that empower our students to solve contemporary global challenges. The insights and resources for this educational framework are achieved through our MoUs with corporates and foreign universities and Centres of Excellence (COE). We invite experts from industries and institutions, as well as notable alumni from India and abroad, to conduct workshops and give lectures in our seminars, webinars, and conferences. We promote awareness of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and encourage humanitarian values, enabling our students to connect meaningfully with society. Our dedicated faculty members are committed to providing a stimulating learning environment and engaging classroom experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. The Training and Placement departments orient our students towards placement and training right from their first year and help them demonstrate their skills and knowledge during campus interviews. Both core and IT product-based, and service-based companies visit our campus for recruitment. We foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills through our Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cells (i-cell and e-cell), which inculcate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students. We are the first college under Anna University to launch a government-funded Technology Business Incubator (TBI). The Office of International Affairs and Higher Education guides students in pursuing higher studies in India and abroad. Recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by DSIR and housing Anna University recognized Research Centres for the departments of CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Physics, and Chemistry, the college encourages learners to engage in cutting-edge research and innovative projects. The college has an H-index of 31, 1165 Scopus publications, 76 granted patents, and 15 filed copyrights. It has completed research projects worth around Rs. 2.5 crores and consultancy projects worth around Rs. 30 lakhs. Extracurricular activities are crucial for holistic development, fostering social skills, teamwork, and personal growth beyond academics. Twenty KCG Clubs, the Centre for Transformational Leadership (CTL), KCG Youthmasters Toastmasters Club, TEDxKCG, Engineers Without Borders (EWB), and various sports activities on campus serve as platforms to build the skills required of twenty-first-century learners. We foster open communication channels and encourage feedback from all stakeholders, as we believe that collaboration and partnership are essential for the holistic development of our institution.
