All departments offer Value Added Programmes every semester to help students gain additional skills and enrich their knowledge of real world applications. Many are certificate courses offered in collaboration with industry leaders.
The department offers quantitative aptitude courses through all 4 years of the Engineering Undergraduate Programmes. Quantitative Aptitude is essential for students to excel in the recruitment and screening process, as well as in entrance tests for higher studies. The course content is dynamic and closely aligned to industry requirements. The department holds refresher QA courses for faculty as well.
Soft skills are essential for engineering students as they enhance communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, which are crucial for effective collaboration in professional environments. Mastery of these skills also facilitates career advancement and adaptability in a rapidly evolving industry.The department spearheads the Soft Skills and Interpersonal Skills training for students and faculty across the institute; including the Infosys Faculty Enablement Programme for Soft Skills .
