Online Debate Competition

The IETE Student Forum KCG College of Technology organized online debate competition on 20 Aug 2021 with the themes (1) Humans should invest in technology to explore and colonize other planets, (2) Animals shouldn’t be used for testing.

Rules : 
1.Each team should consist-of two members – one speaks for the proposition and one against.
2.There will be two rounds of Debate.
3.The team should be prepared for both AGAINST and FOR the topic.
4.Speakers will be marked individually and their points added to decide the winning team
5.The judge’s decision is final.
6.No vulgar words or actions will be accepted.
7.No personal attack.  If used will end in immediate elimination.
Flow of the event

1. Welcome
2. Introduction of IETE –  Rujula
3. Introduction of the jury member – Menaka
4. Run through – Rules and regulations – Nivethitha
5. First round –
6. Each speaker will be given one minute to open their stance.
7. Second round – Rebuttal round.
8. One speaker per team will be given about 1 minute to counter argue and close their statements. (They can conclude their views only once.)
9. Judge would finalize the scores and announce the results, latest by the following day.

Online Quiz Competition

The IETE Student Forum KCG College of Technology organized online quiz competition (XQUIZIT) on 03 Sep 2021 with topics related to general knowledge and technical, using google meet and google form with auto-proctor add-ons.

Rules:
Round 1

• The test will happen on Google form, where it will be AI proctored.
• Kindly use the mail in which you have registered in the google form.
• Based on the trust points and your quiz score you would be evaluated, so kindly don’t switch your tabs during the test and don’t cheat as we are not responsible for the trust points.
• Ensure that you have good internet connection during the tests because the form could be accessible once.
• The top three will be announced based on the following criteria:

Time
Maximum trust points
Quiz score

• The Event Committee will make all final decisions.

Instructions: –

• The Test link will be shared in google meet.
• You can take up the test in mobile phone or laptop.
• You should allow screen share for the proctoring platform if you’re taking the test on a laptop.
• The test will contain 30 questions and you have to finish it before 15mins.
• Pleas click the submit button (blue) and submitting button (green) so then only your answer scripts are submitted.
