In a country like India, the prevalence of diabetes among adults in urban areas is as high as 12 to 14 percent. Considering the population of India, the numbers are huge and increasing at a tremendous rate. The fact that most of people do not experience any symptoms and present only after complications is worrying and therefore it is importance to diagnose and treat it early. There are not much visible primary indicators as it silently affects us and many of us wake up only after complications.
KCG Tech cares for its employee’s health and wellness. To create an awareness to prevent, than to treat diabetes is more important to live a healthy and happy life. The Staff Wellness Program –“Diabetes Awareness & Management” was conducted on 19th January, 2024 between 2.00 – 3.30 pm @ F 14 for Teaching & Non-teaching staff.
Dr K Baraneedharan, MD., Senior Consultant Diabetologist, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, provided information on the signs and symptoms of identifying diabetes, tests to be done, sensors on the body to monitor/find the sugar levels. He spoke about prevent/manage/reversal of diabetes through life style modifications and yoga. He spoke about diaphragmatic breathing and meditation which helps to prevent/manage/bring down the stress levels, as stress is also a major cause of diabetes. The Q & A session addressed several doubts of the audience regarding diabetes and created an awareness.

CTL conducted a Seminar on Student’s Design Thinking Journey: from Ideas to Impact on 24th February 2024. Ms. Vakkalagadda Drishti Rao, III year, CSE & Secretary – CTL shared her insights and experiences with second year CTL members. Drishti shared her firsthand experience from the CTL challenge, offering practical insights into the design thinking process. The content covered various aspects, including a comprehensive overview of design thinking methodology, guidance on problem statement framing, brainstorming techniques, ideation, prototyping, and presentation skills. The session was interactive, with Drishti actively engaging the audience by presenting real-world problems for students to practice framing as design thinking challenges. A dedicated feedback session allowed students to share their thoughts and ask questions, fostering open discussion. Overall, the session received positive feedback, with students finding it valuable and beneficial for their participation in the upcoming 2024 Design Thinking Challenge.

She delivered a talk on “Machine learning” As a Technical Head, she shared valuable knowledge about machine learning and its Classification. She shared a concept related to machine learning concepts with real time examples.






The Centre for Transformational Leadership hosted an interactive workshop titled “Building an Innovation Culture with Design Thinking” on March 9, 2024. The workshop aimed to delve into the core principles of design thinking and how they can be leveraged to foster innovation within organizational contexts.
The session commenced with an engaging activity where participants collaborated to compose a team song, setting a collaborative and creative tone for the day. This exercise underscored the workshop’s emphasis on teamwork in the creative process. The workshop featured George Koshi as the Chief Guest, who provided valuable insights into design thinking, highlighting its role in problem-solving and innovation with a human-centered approach.
One of the workshop’s highlights was the interactive tower building activity using spaghetti sticks, which demonstrated how design thinking facilitates effective planning and problem-solving through hands-on experimentation. Participants applied design principles iteratively to construct innovative and sturdy structures, showcasing the practicality of the design thinking process. Additionally, George Koshi elaborated on the Four C’s of design thinking—Coordination, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity—emphasizing their significance in driving innovation within organizations.
