Objectives: The purpose of conducting this CSI Sponsored Code Relay 2.0on Problem Solving Using Data Structures to the students is to bring awareness about the use of data structures in problem solving.

About 15 teams of 65 participants registered for the event. Mr. Kevin, Associate Engineer Technology, GAVS Technologies Chennai , invited as jury for the event and was coordinated by Ms.Adline Freeda R, Asst. Professor-IT and Ms.Krithikaa Venket, Asst.Professor-IT.

Conclusion
The session was very useful for the students in problem solving and ended with the suggestion given by Jury. Ms. Adline Freeda R(Asst. Professor-IT)thanked the participants for their active participation in the sessions and also thanked the management of KCG College of Technology and IT department for organizing this workshop.
The CTL session held on April 18, 2024, was themed “Conceptualization of Ideathon” and presented by Dr. Uma Kumari C R, Associate Professor, ECE Department, KCG College of Technology. Following the welcome address, Dr.Uma Kumari provided comprehensive insights on what an ideathon entails and how to prepare for one from scratch. Her session covered the key aspects of an ideathon and clearly explained what is expected from participants.
She also highlighted online forums for learning about and participating in ideathons, which was extremely beneficial for the students. Additionally, she clarified the key differences between hackathons, codeathons, and ideathons, and shared essential tips and strategies for excelling in these events.
Towards the end of the session, Dr.Uma Kumari detailed the upcoming CTL Ideathon, designed to help students begin their ideathon journey as a precursor to hackathons and other larger events. This initiative was enthusiastically received by the students, given its promising potential.
In summary, this highly informative session was an invaluable resource for all CTL members of the 2023-24 batch on April 18, 2024.
Second Edition of Impact’24 – Design Thinking Challenge was held exclusively for third-year CTL students on August 3, 2024. Mr. Sakthivel Shanmugam, Senior Engineer at Makers Lab, CED Anna University, and Mr. Dhanush N, Founder and CEO of Interain and Mech Alumnus (2019-2023), provided invaluable feedback on the prototype projects presented by the students. A total of 13 teams, comprising 50 students, participated in the challenge. The jury members praised the participants for their efforts. The top three projects were awarded cash prizes and certificates, while the remaining teams received participation certificates.Prize Winners

CTL organized the third edition of the Innovision’24 Ideathon Challenge on August 3, 2024, exclusively for second-year CTL students. Fourteen teams, comprising 60 students, participated and presented their ideas to the panel, which included Dr. Vignesh Kumar M, Head of PDC and Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Ms. Crisanta A, Engineer II at Fisher Control Values, Emerson, and Mech Alumnus (2016-2020). The jury members provided valuable suggestions to the participants. The top three projects were honored by the jury members.
