About 127 participants from various schools were enrolled in the School connect program 2021. The session was conducted by Mr. Muzzamil sait and coordinated by Ms. Ezhilarasi, Asst. Professor-IT.The entire program was conducted from 20-2-2022 around 02.00 P.M to 4:00 P.M. The speaker delivered an Introduction to Operating systems and basic commands, Installation of Kali OS (as a virtual Operating system), Steps to Use the ethical hacking specific commands, Stages, and importance of hacking and Live Demo.
The Prize winners of the “Game Development Using Unity Software “program which was conducted on 5th Dec 2021 were distributed to the prize winners. The active involvement of the participants leads to the success of the whole program.
Department of Civil Engineering is organizing a Hands on Training on “Total station”
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a polytechnic connect event “Hands-on Training on Total Station” on 24th February 2022. About 71 polytechnic students attended the Hands-on Training program.

On February 24th, the hands- on training program with Total Station started at 10:00 am with the welcome address. The Head of the Department, Dr. V. Vandhana Devi welcomed the students and staff of Central Polytechnic College and encouraged the participants to choose civil engineering degree at KCG College of Technology for their career.. The Civil Department video and the Student Life at KCG was played for the participants. The polytechnic students were very much impressed by the infrastructure facilities of the department and campus. HoD stated that Civil engineering is the mother of all engineering branches and she motivated the diploma students by saying that Civil Engineers are the creators next only to God.

Although building homes, roads, bridges, sewerage, etc. is as old as civilization itself. New thoughts, innovations, and techniques are fast replacing age-old practices and traditional methods of construction. Like in every other field, the real estate sector has also seen several such innovations and adoption of the state of the art in construction techniques.
The students were taken to the field for the Hands-on training on Total Station and they were given tasks for taking measurements and readings for a basic project using total station. Both theory and hands on practical session was offered to the students during the program. At the end of the workshop, the participants were happy that they learnt how to use Total station for surveying purpose. The students were taken around the campus in batches by Mr.C.Akin and the lab facilities, clubs, and infrastructure, auditorium were shown to them.

KCG tech under the banner of Hindustan Engineering Training Centre in association with Tamil Nadu government got empaneled to conduct free training and placement for unemployed youth of Tamil Nadu. It was a landmark moment for us at KCG, we inaugurated a KCG Tech Skill Development Centre that will serve as the home to the Skill oriented Courses in association with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation. This program is aimed at training candidates for the job of “Software Engineer”and “Web Developer” in the ‘’IT-ITeS’’ Sector/Industry.
KCG Women’s Coding Club is organizing a Mini Hackathon:- Women

KCG Women’s Coding Club has organized a Virtual Hackathon- Women’s Codethon 4.O for girl students on 5.3.22 (Saturday). The event started with a formal inauguration by Ms Anju.A, KCG Women’s Club Coordinator. The contest started at 9.30 am, the girl students from various department had registered and participated in the event. Around 82 students had registered and 40 teams (64 students) had joined for the Virtual Hackathon-. Students were asked to solve 5 problem statements. The contest was carried out in Hacker Rank platform with 5 test cases in each challenge. The Leader Board was calculated based on number of test cases passed in each challenge with the submission time.
