EVENT SUMMARY

On March 2, 2019, KCG College of Technology conducted a State level project competition for the polytechnic students all over Tamil Nadu. The event focused on showcasing the innovations of young bright minds of our state. The competition was open to polytechnic students of Auto, CSE, IT, Mech, ECE, EEE, E&I, Civil and Fashion departments where almost 60 students belonging to various institutions came to showcase their projects.

The registrations were done online with 20th of February, 2019 set as the last date for submission of abstracts. The confirmation mail was received from the students by 23rd of February. The students from various colleges arrived at the registration desk by 08:30 hours on 2nd March 2019 where they paid their registration fees and collected their kit. The venue list for the exhibition of the project for various departments were informed and the students went to their respective venue without any hassle.

The students displayed their projects in an organized manner and the projects were open for exhibition at 10:00 hrs. Judges were allotted their respective departments. The judging criteria were based on various leads, most of which comprised of the level of innovation, working of the model and presentation techniques. Lunch commenced at 1230 hours and the participants were directed to the dining hall. Meanwhile, the results from the judges of various departments were consolidated and the preparations for the valedictory ceremony were done.

The valedictory ceremony commenced at 1430 hours with an enthralling dance performance by the KCG dance team. The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest Dr. M. Arularasu, Additional Director of Technical Education, DOTE,Chennai. Dr. M. Arularasu was felicitated Dr. Easu, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, KCG college of Technology. The chief guest enlightened the minds of the students by his motivating talk. He expounded various industrial concepts in a worthy way and insisted to analyze and then express the concept in an astounding way through research. Three meritorious projects from each department were given cash awards and one best project from all the exhibits was selected as the overall winner. All the participants were given participation certificates. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Easu and the event concluded with the national anthem.

KCG college of Technology aspires to inspire the minds of young minds and bring the best out of them by providing platforms for various events. AnVer 2k19 was one among the many successful events conducted by the college and the college is set to conduct more events in the future.
