Aim:-
To measure and analyze torque using strain gauge sensor and compute theoretically to calculate error percentage.
Apparatus used:-
Strain gauge sensor kit, Arm lever & Weighing loads
Drag & drop all the components from the right side & connections are made
(Connections when complete will move on to the next step)
Select the input parameters & then click submit and add to the table buttons to get the indicated torque for all the values. Once all the values selected, then click Display tables button to get the tabulation with values.
Calculate the theoretical torque and then click Get values button to display the corrected torque and error percentage.
Error (%)= (Indicated Value - Theoretical Value) / Theoretical value X 100
S.No | Arm length (m) | Load (kg) | Indicated Torque (N-m) |
Theoretical Torque
(N-m) (Load X Arm length) |
Corrected Theoretical Torque (N-m) | Error (%) |

Plotted graph between Indicated Torque VS Theoretical Torque
Theoretical Torque (N-m)
Indicated Torque (N-m)
Arm length = 1 m Arm length = 0.75 m Arm length = 0.5 m
